I've loved photographs ever since I can remember.  At age 15, after saving up enough money from birthdays, mowing lawns and taking care of dogs at a local kennel, and after getting permission from my parents to spend my savings, I bought my first Canon 35 mm camera.  A lifetime love affair had begun.

Three decades later, I'm still taking pictures, now with the help of my two daughters, Rebecca and Kayla.  My work has appeared in books, newspapers, advertisements, in wedding albums and as framed prints.  It's the love of colors, light, and the beauty of the outdoors that will keep me looking through a lens as long as I live.

Shortly after buying my first camera, I took a job in a camera store.  I worked there in sales and in the darkroom full-time for eight years and then part-time for four more
years.  In the 30 years I've been taking pictures, I've seen sweeping changes in photo technology, and though finding and capturing meaningful images is still the province of the human eye, I'm thankful Rebecca and Kayla help me keep up with the modern digital world. Though I enjoy shooting a variety of images, sunsets are my favorite subjects.  It's the last bit of light in the day, the calm before night falls and life takes on a whole new look under the stars and lights of the city or country. It's always been the most relaxing for me just to take a few minutes to wonder what the night will bring and to look forward to the next day of life.
I keep a busy photo schedule, driving thousands of miles a year around Western Washington to find the images you'll find in my gallery.  I couldn't imagine quitting.  For me, each sunset brings the promise of another day filled with pictures.
